NYC Mayor's Migrant Solution: Two Refugee-Style Camps

New York City Mayor Eric Adams thought of a brilliant solution to the 13,000 migrants flocking to his city: open two outdoor refugee-style camps. Considering New York is Northeast North America, we can only wonder how well outdoor camps will function during the winter.

Eric Adams' Big Reveal

Eric Adams proposed the plan in September, offering photos of ‘relief sites’ which looked like a tent city you would find in a war film. One location will be in Orchard Beach, on the cusp of the Bronx, near Westchester County. The second location has not been established.

NYC Mayor Proclaims Victory

Adams stated in a press release his plan is a ‘victory’ and ‘proof’ he knows his moral obligation to the thousands of Venezuelan immigrants arriving in New York City each week. Regrettably, the plan did not cite when the refugee-style camps would be operational or their capacities.

Adams States His Moral Righteousness

During a press release, Adams said, ‘More than 100 years ago, Ellis Island opened its doors to welcome in those ‘yearning to breathe free.’
‘Now, more than ever, it’s clear that we are again dealing with a humanitarian crisis created by human hands. While other leaders have abdicated their moral duty to support arriving asylum seekers, New York City refuses to do so.’

Adams Points the Finger at Texas and Florida

Adams continued, saying it’s ‘unfair’ for Texas and Florida to send migrants to NYC.
Blake Barrow, CEO of the Rescue Mission of El Paso, said, ‘The city has been chartering busses to New York to assist those desiring that destination. I am not aware of anyone being placed on a bus to New York who did not want to go there.’
Migrants desire NYC because they have fewer chances of being handed over to immigration.
