Defunding Police Helps Kids In Philadelphia Break Free From Poverty
We all know that childhood poverty creates lifelong problems for those who experience it. Thankfully, after defunding the police, youth in Philadelphia have been working together to end childhood hunger and poverty. Recently, about 100 youths stormed a local convenience store and took back what capitalism had stolen from them. Some people that partook in this raid were as young as 10 years old, according to Philly Police.
Children Can Get The Resources They Need After Defunding Police
This is not the first instance of groups of poor youth working together to get the resources they need. Recently, a number of stores have been targeted by groups of youth who ransack the stores in order to gather food and other necessities. Many stores in the center of Philadelphia have been forced to close after these incidents, further cutting off resources from the poor kids who need them the most.
Assaults, Homicides, Rapes Down In 2022 For Philadelphia
More good news is that violent crimes such as assault, homicide, and rape are trending lower in 2022 than in 2021 in Philadelphia. It seems that these brothers love each other more than ever now that the police have been defunded. On a much smaller note, overall crime has significantly increased, especially robberies, which have nearly doubled year-over-year, and the number of shooting victims has slightly increased. It seems that gun control measures have helped greatly because shootings have not risen as much as other crimes in the city.
